Congratulations to everyone that participated at the carnival. Little Athletics is not about being first in a race or jumping the furthest, it is about the confidence and experience gained from these types of events that help your child grow within their own sportsmanship, social skills and performance.
There were a massive 20 records broken over the weekend. One of which was by Ryan Chang who broke the record for U/16 Long Jump. The record stood at 5.02m and Ryan broke this with a huge jump of 6.00m.
Edwin Chang broke the standing record of 25.70 for the 200m with a time of 25.69. Awesome work! With the inclusion of the 400m event to boys and girls in the U/9’s, Flynn Wheeler has set the record for 2015 with a time of 1:28.39.
Little Athletics Queensland President Tony Northy and his representatives attended the weekend, and could only offer praise and appreciation to how well the event was run. He was very impressed with the conditions of thegrounds and would like to thank the entire Agnes Water/1770 community for making him and his peers feel very welcome.
This Saturday Agnes Water 1770 Little Athletics will hold a Fun Day for the athletes and parents. See you all down the grounds for that!
