Agnes Water Celebrating 25 Years Of Schooling

Agnes Water State School will celebrate 25 years of education on Wednesday, 18 November, with a special parade and static display of the changes in Agnes Water State School and parts of our community since 1990.

The morning will commence with a parade at 9:30am in the school’s hall, where classes will present different items that need to be added to a new time-capsule to be opened at the school’s 50th Anniversary.

There will also be a roll call of staff from the 25 years of schooling. The parade will be followed by a morning tea and an opportunity for the community of Agnes Water and students to look at the various changes and history items that will be on display. The school hall will be open to the community until 11am on Wednesday, 18 November and will reopen for the afternoon from 2:30pm to 7pm.

Prep Enrolments for 2016

Agnes Water State School is currently taking Prep Enrolments for 2016.

Children born prior to the 30 June 2011 are eligible for enrolment. Children born in July 2011 may be eligible for early entry into Prep. To find out more about enrolment into Prep please contact our school office on 4902 1333.

Spelling Tournament

The Discovery Coast Cluster of schools, including Wartburg, Winfield, Lowmead, Rosedale, Agnes Water and Discovery Christian College tested their spelling skills on Friday, 23 November as a part of the inter-school Academic Triathlon.

Over the year students have been involved in three rounds; Mathematics, Debating and Spelling. Twenty-teams from the six schools participated in a very close competition with several changes in the leader board over the morning.

Students competed in two divisions; Senior including Year 6 and Year 7 students and a Junior Division of Year 4 and Year 5 students. Congratulations to all teams for their efforts on the day.

  • 3rd Rosedale P-12 School,

Junior Division

  • 1st Rosedale P-12 School,
  • 2nd Agnes Water State School,
  • 3rd Discovery Christian College.
  • Lowmead State School took out the Aggregate Points Award.
