Our Little Athletes Will Shine

Agnes Water 1770 Little Athletics is proud to host the Central North Regional Championships on 5-6th September, and is looking forward to welcoming the competing athletes and their families here from all around the Region.

The Club invites everyone from the community to join them and be a part of these two days filled of track and field events. The Discovery Coast Sport & Rec will have their kitchen open to cater for everyone’s hunger. So come on down and be part of this community event.

Last Saturday was the club’s last meet before Regionals. Well done to everyone that was there and put in their very best.

The day soon warmed up so for those athletes running the 1500m it was a test to their ability, which of course they accepted.

The massive improvement through all the age groups in all events is a testament to our hardworking athletes, dedication and the commitment from the parents who help out each morning. Thank you to everyone.

Congratulations to our Stars of the Week – U/13 Liana Cooper and U/9 Johnny Higgins who both gained three new personal bests last week.
So Regionals are finally here.

There has been a lot of work preparing for this event which goes back to more than just this season.

Last year was the new location for the Saturday morning meets knowing that the Club had such an event in store.

A huge thank you goes to Reno and his helpers for the fabulous maintenance of the grassed area.

Thank you to Bob Cooper from A Landscape Experience and Simon Poustie from Habitat Property Maintenance for bringing the take off pads for Triple Jump & Long Jump up to LAQ specifications.
