RUok? Thanks for Asking

RUok? Day is designed to inspire and educate people to simply ask one question and that is RUok?

This question might just be the one that can make a difference in a person’s life by focusing on the mental wellbeing of others.

To acknowledge RUok? Day, Discovery Coast Community Health Service will again host the walk from Air Sea Rescue Park to Endeavour Park at 1770 on Thursday, 10 September commencing at 7am.

The walk will also recognise and support those families and friends who have lost someone to suicide. All community members are welcome and can join in an early morning tea back at Air Sea Rescue Park after the walk. Community members are welcome to scatter flowers/tributes in memory of those lost.

Whilst the focus is on the asking RUok? everyone is encouraged to respond with “Thanks for Asking”.

Bringing mental health to the forefront is vital within our community and, if anyone you know is in need of mental health assistance, you are encouraged to access help for them either through their GP, or Discovery Coast Community Health Service, phone 4902 1122 or Mental Health Bundaberg phone 4150 2222.
