Gladstone Regional Council will construct 300 metres of new pavement connecting the Agnes Water Police Station and Agnes Water State Primary School.
Council’s Engineering Services portfolio spokesperson Councillor Rick Hansen said the new concrete footpath would be constructed on Springs Road, Tate Street and Donohue Drive.
“Alternate arrangements for pedestrians will be in place for approximately two months from Monday, 14 September 2015,” Councillor Hansen said.
“To lessen disruption, works in the school area have been scheduled during the upcoming holidays.
Cr Hansen said motorists should be aware of some minor traffic condition changes, with closure of a road shoulder and location of a work site parking area.
“I encourage all residents to follow safety signage and take extra care in this area while this work is underway.
“The works will also require intermittent closure of four driveways during this period and a Council Officer will contact affected property occupiers prior to any disruptions,” he said.
